In Character

Carnage
contestable · 68% confidence

In short

Carnage has the edge in raw power, but only just — one tier is an advantage, not an answer. Both fighters have a way to end the fight, so it comes down to who lands it first. Both can end this and neither is harder to put down — a true stalemate, decided by who moves first. Carnage wins it clearly.

The tables below show every check behind this, with the numbers the engine used.

no containment method

A kill lands only when the attacker's reach meets or beats the defender's resistance. Containment must clear two bars: it has to out-reach the opponent's escape and reach 8 to hold permanently — below that it is a temporary hold that lapses. A fighter who fails both cannot end the fight, however much damage they do — which is how an outmatched fighter can still force a stalemate.

This checks only whether a fighter can meaningfully attack at all. It is tested before the win conditions above — so a fighter can pass here and still have no way to finish the opponent.

How it plays out

AI reconstruction. The verdict above was decided by the engine from the checks in the breakdown. This section is a written interpretation of that result — the most likely sequence of events given the outcome. It is illustration, not evidence.

Carnage outlasts Venom through superior regeneration and symbiote density, staying lethal while Venom's reserves finally hollow out.

Venom opens everything at once. Eddie Brock lets the symbiote flood outward — massive tendrils coiling into blades, shields, whipping limbs that hit from four directions simultaneously. He shapes the black mass into crushing walls, hammers Carnage flat into concrete, reforming before Cletus can orient. The bond between Eddie and the symbiote is deep, disciplined, years of shared survival giving every strike a controlled ferocity. Carnage takes all of it. Arms sheared off, torso punched through, the red mass scattered across the floor — and it comes back, every time, a little faster than Venom expects. The regeneration isn't slower, it's hungrier. Carnage doesn't wait to be whole before attacking again. Half a body is enough to put a tendril through Venom's shoulder, and Carnage seems to enjoy the math of that.

The exchange stretches long. Venom's strength never drops — each individual strike lands as hard as the first — but the frequency begins to thin. Regenerating a shredded arm costs Eddie something that Cletus doesn't seem to pay. Carnage's shape-shifting is wilder, less considered, but that chaos has a function: it is never where Venom aims, always somewhere adjacent, always costing Venom another burst of effort to adapt. The symbiote bond Carnage carries is rawer, the relationship between Klyntar and host less a partnership than a mutual obsession, and that obsession doesn't tire the way discipline does. Venom has to think. Carnage just has to want.

The tipping point is quiet — no single blow marks it. Venom's reformations begin to lag by a beat, then two. The tendrils come a half-second slower. Carnage, leaking red from a dozen wounds that are already closing, reads the rhythm and starts pressing into those gaps, not to finish but simply because it can, because it is still moving at full intensity while Venom is working harder for the same output. Eddie snarls, the symbiote surges with everything left — but everything left is less than it was, and Carnage is still spending at full rate, still regenerating, still accelerating. Venom stands, battered and burning through reserves Carnage simply has more of.

WINNER: Carnage REASON: Carnage's superior regeneration rate and symbiote density allow it to sustain full offensive output throughout the exchange while Venom's reserves gradually deplete, leaving Carnage still operating at capacity when Venom cannot match that pace.
