Copyright, IP & contact

Every character on this site belongs to someone else. This page explains how they are used here, and how to reach the person who runs it.

Contact

One person runs this site. Anything at all — a takedown request, a correction, a question, a data request under GDPR — goes here:

WhoWinsAi@outlook.com

Replies are usually within a day or two. If you are a rights holder and something needs to come down quickly, say so in the subject line and it will be dealt with first.

If you own something on this site

It will be removed. You do not need to make a legal argument for it. Send an email naming what you want taken down and where it appears, and it will be removed — usually the same day, and without any attempt to talk you out of it.

That applies to artwork, character entries, written descriptions, or anything else. If you would rather a character stayed but was represented differently, that is fine too — say what you want changed.

What helps a request move fastest

A formal notice is welcome but not required. An email saying “this is ours, please take it down” is enough.

What this site actually does

WhoWinsAI is a battle simulator and a discussion site. It resolves hypothetical fights between fictional characters using a rules engine built from published feats, and then describes the result. It is the same question people have argued in playgrounds and forums for decades, answered consistently instead of by vote.

To do that it uses character names and information about fictional characters, for the purpose of comparison, commentary and analysis. It does not reproduce the underlying comics, episodes, films, games or scripts.

Copyright and related rights can depend on the particular material and the particular use involved, so this page does not attempt to make a blanket legal claim about every item on the site. If you are a rights holder with a concern about any use, contact the address above and it will be dealt with.

The site does not host, reproduce or distribute comics, episodes, films, games, scripts or any other copyrighted work.

Artwork

Character images on this site are AI-generated depictions, not scans or screenshots from published material. They are illustrative — they show which character an entry refers to.

That is a genuinely unsettled area, and the position here is a practical one rather than a confident one: if you own a character and you do not want an AI-generated depiction of them used here, say so and it comes down. No argument.

What belongs to whom

Characters, names, artwork, trademarks and other third-party intellectual property referenced on WhoWinsAI remain the property of their respective rights holders — among them Marvel, DC, Shueisha, Toei, Bandai Namco, Nintendo, SEGA, Capcom, Warner Bros., Disney and many more. This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any of them.

What does belong to this site is the engine, the ratings and the reasoning behind them, the written analysis, the site design, and the WhoWinsAI name.

Content posted by users

People post on the forum and can request characters. Anything posted remains the responsibility of whoever posted it, and posts that infringe someone's rights will be removed on the same terms as everything else. Report anything that needs attention to the address above.

A note on the legal framing

This site is operated from the United Kingdom by one person. It does not claim DMCA safe harbour — that requires a designated agent registered in the United States, which has not been done, and claiming a protection that has not been registered for would be worse than claiming none.

What is offered instead is straightforward: a direct line to the person who can actually remove the thing, and a commitment to do it quickly. In practice that resolves matters faster than any formal process would.
