60+ New characters added - Few site fixes and a messaging system
Big update: 63 new characters, a New tab, private messages and more
Hey everyone,
The request queue has been stacking up, so I've spent the last day or two working through it. 99 requests have been closed, and if you asked for someone who's now on the site, you should have had a notification.
63 new characters, all playable now
Rick Sanchez, Uzi Doorman (Absolute Solver), Tatsumaki, Jotaro Kujo, Sasuke (Rinnegan), Springtrap, Sans, The Thing (1982), Indominus rex, Cthulhu, Megatron (G1 and IDW), Optimus Prime (IDW), Godzilla (MonsterVerse), Striker Eureka, Kirby, Meta Knight, Sephiroth, Mewtwo, Doraemon, Lloyd (Golden Ninja), Ike and Marth.
MCU villains: Ego, Iron Monger, Whiplash, Aldrich Killian and Red Skull.
Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon: Jaime, Ned Stark, Barristan Selmy, Oberyn, Jaqen H'ghar, Daemon Targaryen (on foot, and on Caraxes) and Ser Duncan the Tall.
Murder Drones: N, J, V and Cyn.
Undertale: Undyne the Undying, Asgore, Toriel, Papyrus, Mettaton EX, Asriel (God of Hyperdeath) and Omega Flowey.
Deltarune: the Roaring Knight, Kris, Susie and Ralsei.
Jujutsu Kaisen: Hakari, Nanami and Choso.
My Hero Academia: Toga, Mirko, Aizawa and Momo.
Books: Roland Deschain and Mordred (The Dark Tower), Kaladin and Vin (Cosmere).
Plus 9S from NieR: Automata.
Every one of them was researched from what they actually do in their fights, not from hype or fan calculations. Then each was tested against the whole roster before going live. If a result looks wrong, flag it. That's genuinely how the ratings get better.
The ✨ New tab
There's a glowing New tab in every character picker (1v1, Tournament, Duos/Teams and Fusion). It lists everyone added recently, so there's an easy way to try the new faces. New characters also get a little NEW tag on their card. Pictures for them are on the way; for now they show an emoji.
Private messages
You can now message anyone on the site. You don't have to be friends first. It's text only, you get a notification when someone messages you, and you can block anyone you don't want to hear from. Messages are private and there's a report button if anything's out of order.
Other fixes and additions
Your Universe Gauntlet runs now show up in your player profile.
Squad, Team and Fusion battles now record the right winner. They were being logged wrong before, sorry about that.
The forum front page shows who replied last, not just who started the thread.
The rankings are being rebuilt with all the new characters included.
What wasn't added, and why
A few requests are on hold because there's nothing to rate them on: they never actually fight in their story. That covers Chara, Gaster, the TADC cast and Trevor Henderson's creatures (they only exist as images, though the Siren Head and Cartoon Cat films are in the works). A few others need a ruling first, like the Gundams and a couple of the Lovecraft gods. They're not forgotten.
Keep the requests coming. Adding your name to one that's already in the queue pushes it up the list.

These characters will need to be battle tested so we can spot wrong scenarios in cross universe battles against different types of powers ect. Every battle run and flag posted helps us patch these problems so in the future everything is much strong and each new character gets easier and better. Have fun.

For fourth ideal kaladin, he has living shardplate that makes him stronger, faster, and is very durable; and his shardweapon severs the soul, and ignores physical durability.
Thanks mate that helps a lot. All the new characters still need to run through a few systems to check things through and look for missing powers and abilities. Lots of tests are running today but my system is having to process over a million different fights and analyse them so it takes a while.
Good catch, and you're right on both counts. Right now Kaladin's Blade is only counted as armour-piercing, and he has no Plate at all, so he's currently being underrated. The soul-cutting part needs a proper engine rule rather than a quick edit, because it has to respect what actually stops a Shardblade (Plate, another Blade, aluminium) and not just delete everyone's durability. It's going on the list as its own fix. I'll test it properly, and you'll get credit on the fixes page when it goes live.
